Vests were always favored as an additional layer and as protection against wind and weather. Large pockets helped to store tools and daily essentials. This history is also reflected in the 1966 Rodeo Vest.Crafted from the trusted waxed Jungle Cloth, Pike Brothers have equipped it with a quilted inner lining to withstand wind and weather. However, by using a newly developed reactive dyeing technique, we’re able to utilise these deep shades whilst also allowing the colours to mature and fade as if they were sulphur dyed.▪️9oz Paraffin Coated OX Type II Jacket.The interpretation of the classic ‘Type II’ jacket, made from 9oz paraffin coated Oxford cloth. Yesssss 2 new @ironheartdenim items..!!!The 12oz Western Shirt and the Type II jacket made from 16oz Slubby Selvedge Denim Black overdyed 🔥🔥🔥▪️The classic western shirt made from one-washed 12oz indigo Japanese selvedge denim, with black Iron Heart Permex snaps, tonal dark blue stitching, and chain stitch runoff. A must-have wardrobe staple that’ll age beautifully over time.▪️Iron Heart interpretation of the “Type II” jacket, inspired by the classic Levi’s design from 1953. Slightly longer in the body and less boxy than the original Type II, this Iron Heart version is constructed from our 16oz slubby selvedge denim. This deep indigo selvedge denim has a really uneven hand on both the face and the reverse (think off-the-scale loom-chatter), but at the same time, it is incredibly soft and comfortable to wear. To create this overdyed version, the entire garment is steeped in black sulphur dye post-construction. This means that the indigo denim, stitching and hardware are all stained by the black dye, which will slowly mellow and fade, developing a unique patina through wear.
