Hey guys,The first Samurai Jeans have arrived, and I’m really happy about it! This is the 17oz Slubby Denim in a straight fit. I’m wearing a W35, whereas I usually wear a W34 in Iron Heart, so these run slightly smaller.I had them rinsed once in Japan, so the jeans are sanforized and won’t shrink or will do so minimally.We’ve also started selling the special Samurai soap, which not only smells great but is also made of 99% natural ingredients and is free from additives, bleach, and enzymes. So drop by and check it out..! ▪️The S5100VX 17oz straight Fit. The silhouette is based on the S5000VX, but the inseam has been modified to be one inch deeper, and other aspects of the silhouette have also been tweaked for balance. The buttons used were newly created to mimic the color of “shakudo” metal with a well-worn black finish, which has been used for weapons and ornaments in Japan since ancient times. As the buttons are used, the luster settles down and a beautiful patina starts to appear, allowing you to enjoy changes in the look of the metal. To create this authentic Wabash, we individually rope-dye both the warp and the weft yarns (unlike traditional Wabash denim which would feature a natural or white weft) before weaving them into a twill fabric. The distinctive pattern is then bleached into the fabric post-weave, creating more contrast between the dots and the base colourway. This means that while the rope-dyed yarns are designed to fade and evolve with beautiful character, the signature Wabash dots remain prominent as the fabric ages.
